Andy Blackwood – Conference Chaplain

Andy Blackwood is serving as our conference chaplain this year. He is a police chaplain with Thames Valley Police and currently works in social services, supporting children, young people, and families in often complex situations.
That combination of roles shapes his approach. Andy brings a grounded understanding of the pressures people carry in both their working and personal lives, and he is used to walking alongside people in demanding circumstances.
He is known for his calm, steady presence and his ability to listen without judgement or trying to fix things too quickly. Across the conference, he offers space to pause, reflect, and be alongside someone who understands the realities of public service.

Andy is available to all delegates, whatever your background, belief, or none. Whether you need a conversation, a quiet moment, or simply someone to sit with you for a while, he will be around throughout the event.
